More About Transformers

One of the most popular toy lines and cartoon series of the 80s, the Transformers are “More than meets the eye.” These “robots in disguise” transformed themselves from average-looking vehicles like a Volkswagon Beetle or a tractor trailer cab into highly sophisticated beings from the planet Cybertron. The Transformers were split into two factions: the heroic Autobots led by Optimus Prime and the aptly-named Decepticons led by the diabolical Megatron and Starscream, the jet-transformer who was constantly trying to usurp Megatron.

The Transformers made it to the big screen in 2007 with a live action film of the classic cartoon featuring Shia LaBeouff and Megan Fox. A sequel, Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen, was released in June 2009.
